Amelia Stawovy

Amelia R. Stawovy, 94, of Smithton, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 in TLC Adult Care Center. Born in Wickhaven on July 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Lukas and Mary (Tori) Krall.
A homemaker, Amelia was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Perryopolis and the SNPJ Lodge. Our beloved mother will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, David J. (Patricia) Stawovy of Scottdale and Jan (Darlene) Stawovy of Hunker; daughters, Jacque (John) Janos of Smithton and Cheryl (Brian) Albig of West Newton; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Stawovy; 2 sisters, Mary Smodic and Ada Stavros; and 4 brothers, William, Walter, Carlos and Cyril Krall.
Friends will be received on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where Parting Prayers will be held on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Perryopolis, with Rev. Anthony Ditto as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Timothy Cemetery, Smithton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to a charity of one's choice.
