Ann F. Uram, 96, of Rostraver Township, died Sunday, September 24, 2017 in Westmoreland Manor. Born in Perryopolis on December 31, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Sophia (Terhanko) Backos.
A homemaker, Ann was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Church and the Cana Sodality.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann (William "Buddy") Coughanour of Perryopolis and Georgia Jean (Richard) Matty of Monessen; grandchildren, Tish Kuklar and her friend Tom Watson, Randy (Cheryl) Coughanour, Stacy (Jason) Minniti and Jodi (Thomas) Singara; great grandchildren, Matt and Rebecca Kuklar, Samuel G. Coughanour, Aiden, Jude and Arden Minniti, and Madison, Morgan, Marlee, Mason, Manny and Ella Singara; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, George "Shorty" Uram; brothers, Andrew, Joseph, George, Albert, John and Charles Backos; sisters, Mary Rohal, Agnes Backos and Julia Randall.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where Panachida will be held on Friday at 10:15 a.m., followed by Divine Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael's Byzantine Church, 511 Murray Avenue, Donora with Rev. Stephen J. Wahal officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
