Anthony John Capul, 79, of Rostraver Township died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Clairton on June 20, 1935, he was the son of the late Louis and Theresa Capul.
Mr. Capul was a 1960 graduate of Carnegie Tech with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He played football at both Carnegie Tech and during his service in the U.S. Army. He began his engineering career at U.S. Steel and worked as a Metallurgical Engineer for 40 years at Weirton Steel. After his retirement, he was a Technical Consultant for Winner Steel. He was a member of the Church of St. Anne, Rostraver Township.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie and was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Agnes Pancoast; and a sister, Joan Kutscher.
Additional survivors include his sisters, Irene Rossi, Mary Ann Lewis, Loretta Valvo, Louise Lewis, Frances Lawson and Terese Capul; and dear nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. A Blessing Service will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Church Of St. Anne, Rostraver Township. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
