Clyde D. Cooper, 73, of Rostraver Township, died Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Mon Valley Hospital, Inc.. Born in Monticello, KY on August 16, 1947, he was the son of the late Charlie and Edna (Gibson) Cooper.
Clyde was a truck driver and drove for numerous companies, including Sherman & Hall, Great American Lines and Ductmate Industries. He was Methodist by faith and was a member of the VFW. Clyde was very proud of his southern heritage and was a good friend to all. He loved his animals and especially loved his family. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
He is survived by his daughter, Monica R. (George) Kosko of Monongahela; son, Zackary S. Cooper of Rostraver; grandchildren, Madison Kosko and Cooper Kosko; sister, Wynema Cooper Money of KY; and many cousins and family members in both Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita L. Cooper; sister, Wiladean Cooper (Howard) Brake; and infant siblings, Bobby Cooper, Orville Cooper and Arlena Mae Cooper.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sandra Fitzgibbons officiating. Interment, with full Military Honors, will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
Everyone attending the visitation and services must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
