David W. Hoffman

David W. Hoffman, 83, of Apollo, formerly of the Belle Vernon area, died at home on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Born in Fairhope on May 6, 1933, he was the son of the late Clarence B. and Bessie Mae (Hileman) Hoffman.
David worked as a steel roller and was retired from USX. He was a member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene and served in the US Army in Panama.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel (Evans) Hoffman; sons, William D. (Margaret) Hoffman of Smithton, Robert C. (Margaret) Hoffman of Vanderbilt, Paul E. (Candy) Hoffman of Brevard, NC and Jonathan (Mindy) Hoffman of Apollo; grandchildren, William 'Slim' (Rachel) Hoffman, Rachel (Tony) Guidice, Crystal Hoffman, Michael Hoffman, Maggie Krichbaum, Andrew Hoffman, Tiffany Young Gabriel Hoffman, Benjamin Hoffman, Sarah Hoffman, and Hannah Hoffman; great grandchildren, Caden Hoffman, Addison Hoffman, Patricia Guidice, Gabriella Bassich, Miranda Bassich, Jacob Hoffman and Kaydence Hoffman; brother, Raymond (Patti) Hoffman of Belle Vernon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Guidice; a brother and three sisters.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Private Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gary Gregg officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in Fells Cemetery.
