Emblem

Donald ''Buddy'' Clark Talbert, 76, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024. He was born September 21, 1948, in Charleroi, He was the son of the late Lilath Clark Louttit and Donald Talbert and the grandson of Howard L. and Annabelle Paxton Clark, who were influential in his early upbringing.

Buddy worked in many fields during his lifetime from car dealerships, carpet installation, manufacturing, the paving industry and the printing industry. By far his most enjoyable employment was in retirement as a part-time van driver taking children to surrounding schools. He loved the aides he worked with and especially the children.

Buddy was a loving husband and father and was a true animal lover, especially dogs. He could not pass someone walking a dog without asking if he could pet their dog and have a conversation with them. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and so we say he never met a stranger. He was very good at shooting pool, spent a great deal of time at the Polish Falcons Club in Donora, loved all the Pittsburgh Sports teams and loved Penn State Football. He was very proud of his two "boys" and truly was one of the good guys and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Karen Mascara Talbert; his sons, Justin (Nicole) Talbert and Adam (Taylor) Talbert; his loyal Labrador retriever, Cooper; and many friends who were there for him through his illness.

Friends will be received on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com
