Donald J. Belczyk, 70, of Rostraver Township, died suddenly on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Born in Charleroi on August 31, 1952, he was the son of the late Jack and Helen (Uniejewski) Belczyk.
Donnie was a retired welder from U S Steel Clairton Works and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Belle Vernon. Donnie was a Leopard sports fan and played football and baseball in high school. He coached Rostraver Midget League Football and was an avid golfer and was a member of the Mensa Golf League. He also enjoyed hunting and bowling and was a member of the Monday Night Classic Bowling League. Donnie was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was all about family. He was lovingly known as "Uncle Donnie" or "Uncle" and the ones he cherished the most called him “Pap”.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly (Altier Callaway) Belczyk; son, Donald "DJ" (Lea) Belczyk of Belle Vernon; grandchildren, Draydin Belczyk and Jordin Belczyk; brothers, John (Yoko) Belczyk of MA, Stanley "Stush" Belczyk of Belle Vernon, Gene (Carlyn) Belczyk of Monessen, Barry Belczyk of FL and Vince (Pam) Belczyk of Rostraver; sisters, Priscilla Worhatch of Donora and Cindy Belczyk of Bentleyville; brothers-in-law, Bill (Sally) Callaway of Rostraver and Larry (Lynda) Callaway of Rostraver; many special nieces and nephews including, Larry (Jody) Callaway, Michelle Callaway-Rodriguez, Laura Callaway Weston, Tony Rotolo, Michelle Spano, Bill (Chemen) Callaway, Josh Belczyk, Jake Belczyk, Ryan Belczyk, Aleah Belczyk, Elissa Belczyk, Tamara Belczyk, Chris Belczyk, Sherry Zelinski, Lana Burgess, Jamie (Brett) Kerns, Brett Bishop, Bria Bishop, Lyssa (Timmy) Gazdich, Danita Yerkey, Paula Klein and Pete Worhatch; great nieces and nephews, Malena Rodriguez, his godson Larry Callaway, Gianna Callaway, Lilly Kerns, Lizzy Kerns, his buddy Liam Kerns, Aubrey Yerkey, Sidny Celaschi, Tori Callaway, Tara Callaway, Kodi Callaway, Cody Lealiki and India Lealiki; his special friends, Kathy Calcek, Karen (Dave) Navarra, Billy (Donna) Henderson and George (Tootsie) Pollack; and his beloved dog, Ziggy.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held at Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mary Kay Glunt officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
