Dorothy Ann Beres

Dorothy Ann (Floro) Beres, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2016.
Born in Van Meter, she was a longtime resident of Rostraver Twp., and wintering in Clearwater, Florida, Dorothy lived out her final years with her husband under the compassionate care of the staff at Oakleaf Personal Care Home.
In addition to her parents, Russell and Mary (Gerda) Floro, Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, John P. Beres on June 2, 2016.
She will be deeply missed by her five children, John (Helen) Beres, Launie (Don) Trevisani, Jeffrey (Carol Ann) Beres, Joel (Mary) Beres and Christopher (Shelly) Beres; 10 grandchildren; a great grandchild, and all of her friends and extended family.
Dorothy was a 1946 graduate of Rostraver High School and was a cheerleader in high school. She was a comptometer operator for Graybar Electric in Pittsburgh and worked other various part-time jobs, but was primarily a housewife and a very loving Mother. Dorothy was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver and served with the Christian Mothers for many years.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Church Of St. Anne with Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti as celebrant. A private family interment will be held on Tuesday in West Newton Cemetery.
