Evelyn Guffey

Evelyn O. Guffey, 79, of Perryopolis died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at her home. Born in Elizabeth Township on September 6, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (Bricker) Opfer.
Evelyn was a bus monitor for Laidlaw Transit at the Elizabeth Forward Schools. She was a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Guffey; 5 sons, Robert C. Guffey of Glassport, John C. Guffey of Forward Twp., Ernest E. (Amy) Guffey of Clearfield, PA, Timothy C. Guffey of Elizabeth and James W. (Stephanie) Guffey of Castle Shannon; 10 grandchildren, Amanda (Randy) Ludwick, Robert E. Guffey II, Franklin, John and Michael Minicucci and Jessica, Christopher, Joshua, Emily and Ben Guffey; 4 great grandchildren; Adreana, Angelo, Aubrie and Jaxson; and brother, Ernest (Betty) Opfer of Forward Township.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Hazel Jean Sekerka.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kent Lighthall officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
