George W. Speelman

George W. Speelman, 83, of Rostraver Township, died Sunday, August 13, 2017 in AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born in California on September 26, 1933, he was the son of the late George W. and Ethel (Pascoe) Speelman Sr.
George retired from USX Clairton Works where he was a Supervisor. After his retirement, he taught classes at the Community College for the Clairton Works. He was a member of the Grand Squares Square Dance Group.
He is survived by his wife, Hilja M. (Gadler) Speelman; daughters; Linda A. (Donald) Tuomi of Rostraver Township, Darla Kiss of Glassport and Sherry (George) Runion of McKeesport; grandchildren; Michelle (Eric) Deutsch of Rostraver Township, Aaron (Dana) Tuomi of Rostraver Township, and Celeste, Steven and Bryan Runion of McKeesport; great grandchildren, Claire and Lea Tuomi of Rostraver Township; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, George A. Speelman; brother, Charles Speelman; and sister, Mary Johnson.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Sommerfeldt officiating. Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery.
