Harry Byers

Harry J. Byers, 69, of Rostraver Twp., died Monday, January 11, 2016 in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in North Charleroi on March 4, 1946, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy (Curnow) Byers.
Protestant by faith, Harry was a superintendent with heavy construction. He loved playing the piano, and had a baby grand piano at home. He was also a supporter of the Westmoreland and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Richter) Byers; three sons, Charles (Jan) Byers of Rostraver Twp., William (Shelley) Byers of Monongahela and Joseph Byers of Rostraver Twp.; five grandchildren, Derrick Durbin, Camillia Dille, Isaak Byers, Shannon Byers and Abby Byers; two brothers, William Lloyd (Ellen) Byers of Rostraver Twp. and John Leslie Byers of Calif.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor William Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Mill Grove Cemetery, South Huntingdon Twp.
