James R. Petrone

James R. Petrone, 85, of Rostraver Twp., died at his home on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Born in Pittsburgh on June 3, 1932, he was the son of the late Felix and Theresa (Rizzo) Petrone.
James was an industrial painter and was a member of Local Union #6. He was a member of Fells United Methodist Church and served on the Board of Trustees, was a Church Usher and managed the Men's Breakfast with his best friends, Clair Trost and Harry Beck.
He is survived by his daughters, Audrey (Conrad) McConeghy of Rostraver Twp. and Shirley Verdiglione of West Mifflin; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brother, Frank (Helen) Petrone of Dormont; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet L. Petrone; and his brothers, Victor, Carmen and Angelo Petrone.
Friends will be received on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com . Family and friends are asked to gather at Fells United Methodist Church, 1268 Fells Church Road, Rostraver Twp. on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. for a Funeral service with Pastor Marlin Miller officiating. Interment is private.
