John W. Munshower, Jr., 34, of West Newton (Rostraver Township) died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, December 18, 2015 at home. Born in Mt. Pleasant on April 15, 1981, he is the son of John W. and Debbie A. (Federer) Munshower, Sr. who survive and reside in West Newton.
John was in the Boilermakers Union No 154 and worked at Edgar Thompson Steel Works and was a Volunteer Fireman at Collinsburg Volunteer Fire Company Station 103.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie (Skobel) Munshower; daughter, Elizabeth Munshower; son, Evan Munshower; sister, Nicole Munshower of Pittsburgh; maternal grandfather, Robert Federer, Sr. of Ohio; maternal grandmother, Helen (Seich) Federer of Smithton; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John "Sonny" Munshower, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Betty K. Davis; and uncle, Robert "Redbird" Federer, Jr.
Friends will be received on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
