Laura A. LaRose, 90, of Butler, died Friday, September 22, 2023. Born in Fellsburg on October 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edgar F. and Henrietta M. (Finley) Snyder.
A homemaker at heart, Laura also worked at numerous jobs including Avon and Tupperware. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Butler Ward, where she was the Primary President for the children at church and was also the Relief Society President, which is the Service organization of the church. Laura was a kind, generous and loving person. She loved everyone, was always gracious in serving others and was the best "hugger" in the world! She loved God and Jesus Christ and instilled faith and love into her children. She enjoyed working with her hands and making crafts, working crossword puzzles on her Kindel, and coloring in adult coloring books. Her favorite season was Autumn, and she loved Christmas.
She is survived by her children, Debra Ann Goodman of Butler, Gregory Paul (Jamie) LaRose of Lyndora, PA and Kevin Mark (Bridget) LaRose of Wyo.; grandchildren, Taylor LaRose, Ryan LaRose, Derek LaRose, David Allen Bradford Harvey and Adrienne Summer Harvey; great grandchildren Charles Winston Ryan and Valen Bradford Harvey; brothers, Kenneth (Rose) Snyder of Charleroi and Wilbur Snyder of Beaver Falls; sister, Janice Marie Richter of Perryopolis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Melvin LaRose; son, Thomas Carl LaRose; granddaughter, Tiffany Ann Ryan; brothers, Franklin, Ernie, Alan, Ray and Ralph Snyder; and sister, Jean Stevenson.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville at 12:30 p.m.
