Madeline Duwall, 92, of Donora, died Monday, May 7, 2018 in Thorpes Personal Care Home in Charleroi. Born in North Charleroi on May 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophia (Choban) Biszaha.
Madeline worked in the Auditing Department of Singer Sewing Machine Offices in Pittsburgh, then she was the secretary for the Industrial Engineering Department of Pages - American Chain and Cable. She also was Secretary/Bookkeeper for the Douglas School of Business in Monessen. In her younger years, Madeline was a vocalist for the Jack Brown Orchestra and the Angie Bates Orchestra. She was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Monessen and was currently a member of the Donora Senior Center.
Madeline was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Duwall on August 11, 1986.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com at which time a Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Wahal officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, Rostraver Township.
