Marion Gehrig

Marion H. Gehrig, 98, of Rostraver Twp., died Thursday, January 7, 2016 in TLC Adult Care Center. Born in Pittsburgh on February 17, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Anna (Armstrong) Evans.
Marion was a key punch operator, working for US Steel and later retiring from Carnegie Mellon University. She was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Twp.
She is survived by her daughters, Marianne (John) Zywan of Canonsburg, Maureen (Terry) Prosba of Rostraver Twp.; son, James (Carol) Gehrig of Virginia Beach, VA; six grandchildren, Douglas Zywan, Darin (Jennifer) Zywan, Tracey (Jeffrey) Berger, Jacob Gehrig, Taylor (Jennifer) Prosba and Nicholas (Colleen) Gehrig; nine great grandchildren, Cameron, Brody, Dylan & Aiden Zywan, Jonah, Victoria & Amelia Berger, Avery Prosba and Gwendolyn Gehrig.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Melvin Gehrig; sisters, Lois Evans, Phyllis Hess and Eileen Goodbread.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Anne with Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti presiding. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park.
