Marjorie Anne Petrus, 87, of Fellsburg (Rostraver Township) died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in Dunlevy Gardens. Born in Donora on April 24, 1929, she was the daughter of the late James Clinton and Rose (Walsh) Greenlee.
Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and tending to her flower gardens. She was a charter member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Township, where she was active in the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She was the last surviving member of her family.
She is survived by her three children, Rebecca (Raymond) Greene of Elizabeth Twp., John C. (Vicky) Petrus of Rostraver Township and Pamela (Ronald) Adamson of Brownsville; five grandchildren, Rachel Greene, Jamie (Randy) Gilbert, Craig Petrus, Sarah (Dan) Collins and Elizabeth Adamson; four great grandchildren, Connor Gilbert, Vayla Gilbert, Abigail Collins and Jackson Collins; sisters-in-law; Faye Greenlee of York, Nebraska, Sue Petrus of Donora and Dorothy Petrus of Donora; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen A. Petrus; brothers, James Greenlee, Donald Greenlee and Francis Greenlee; and sister Elizabeth Anderson.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Anne, Rostraver Township, with Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti as celebrant. Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery.
