Melinda A. Fernandez

Melinda A. Fernandez, 67, of Elizabeth, died Sunday, September 8, 2024. Born in Charleroi on September 8, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Angel Fernandez Jr. and Bertha Ann (Evans) Fernandez. 

Melinda was retired from US Steel in Monessen and was a member of Webster Methodist Church.

Melinda was the BEST sister and aunt that anyone could ever have!!  

She is survived by her sisters, Pamela (Lou) Vaira of Elizabeth, Cheryl (Dave) Francia of Rostraver and Jackie (Brian) Schrock of West Newton; nieces and nephews, Rachel (Jason) Lesniewski, Gina (Baber) Munir, David (Kandi) Francia, Michael (Alyssa) Francia, Angela (Lou) Swedowski and Megan (Zach) Bell; great nieces & great nephews, Logan and Jaxon, Jason and Cole, Winry and Barret, Gabriel, and Ben and Jackson.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Yacura. 

Per Melinda’s wishes, Private Graveside Services and interment were held in Round Hill Cemetery.
