Mitchell J. Pauline, 54, of Van Meter, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 in UPMC Mercy Hospital. Born in North Charleroi on April 2, 1962, he was the son of the late Dorothy (Vindivich) Pauline Evans and James Pauline and the stepson of the late Gerrie.
Mitch was a millwright, welder for ArcelorMittal Steel and attended Olive Branch Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. He was former vice-president of the Rostraver Historical Society and was an avid participant of the historic war re-enactments. He loved helping people and sharing his knowledge and was a member of the League of Separated Tribes, where he was known as "Red Hawk".
He is survived by his wife, Marsha (Maul) Pauline; son, Nicholas Pauline; daughters, Heather Pauline and Jessica Pauline; sisters, Jamie (Patrick) Garbart and Mary Dot Evans; niece, Teresa Garbart; loving cousins, Kathy, Debbie and Stan Slomiany; step siblings, Raymond and Renee; and his beloved dog, Sculley.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Olive Branch Baptist Church. Following visitation, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. D. W. Norton officiating.
