Robert Sharp

Robert J. Sharp, 74, of Elizabeth died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born in McKeesport on May 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Robert J. Sharp, Sr. and Lois Elva (Pry) Thomas and his step father, Howard Thomas.
Bob retired from Duquesne Light where he worked as a scrubber operator. He was a member of the Round Hill Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth and a life member of the Dravosburg Fire Company. A lifelong outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends at the Brockey Farm in Bedford, PA.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Lynn Sharp of Pittsburgh and Debra Lee (Martin) Orendt of Harrison City; granddaughter, Mackenzie Sara Orendt; sister, Linda (David) Pekala of Naperville, IL; aunt, Rose T. Sharp of Glassport; a close family friend, Michael Ford of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years and 8 months, Marilyn M. (Ziegler) Sharp on August 19, 2015.

Following the Saturday morning visitation at the funeral home, a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Round Hill Presbyterian Church, 2150 Round Hill Church Road, Elizabeth, PA with Rev. Matthew Stith officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
