Sally Ann Sarber Baumgardner, 78, of Lake Worth, Florida and formerly of Fellsburg/Rostraver Twp., died peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from complications from Alzheimers disease. Born in Rostraver Twp. on June 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James Lloyd and Dorothy (Ries) Sarber.
Sally lived her 78 years to the fullest, devoting her life to her family and friends. She graduated from Rostraver High School and had a career in finance and insurance, before she retired to enjoy life at her new home in Lake Worth, Florida. Her family and friends loved her immensely and her loss will leave an enormous hole in our hearts. What she gave to us in life, we can never repay, but we will always hold the memory of her kind, loving and generous spirit and her strength close to us.
She is survived by her daughters, Terri (James Hinda) Baumgardner and Erin (Chet) Backowski; son, David (Sheri) Baumgardner; grandchildren, Randi and Jamie Baumgardner and Anthony Backowski; sister, Susan Sarber; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her sister, Jan Bell; brothers, Lanny and James Sarber.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Bruce Merritt officiating. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
