Samuel L. Sellaro

Samuel L. Sellaro, 90, of Fellsburg/Rostraver Township, died Thursday, December 6, 2018 in UPMC Mercy Hospital. Born in Belle Vernon on August 23, 1928, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Laurie) Sellaro.
Sam graduated from California State College and was a retired teacher from the Elizabeth-Forward School District. Sam served in the US Air Force and was a member of St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church. Sam was a caregiver for his wife, Helen, for many years. Together they have a son, Kim Steven, at home.
He is survived by his son, Kim Steven Sellaro of Rostraver; and sister, Sara "Babe" Fleming of Belle Vernon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Sucevich) Sellaro on August 23, 2016.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Anne with Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti presiding. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
