Timothy Albert Ferrari

Timothy Albert Ferrari, 78, of Fayette City died Friday, February 7, 2025. Born in North Charleroi on September 21, 1946, he was the son of the late Albert and Edna Ruth (Usher) Ferrari. 

Tim worked at USS Clairton Works for 31 years as a Laborer, Millright Helper, Millright Apprentice, Millright and Vicing Foreman, and the last 18 years, he was Supervisor in Operating Maintenance. 

Growing up, Tim played baseball for the Fayette City Midget, Pony, and Colt Leagues, Charleroi Magicians, Pittsburgh Little Pirates, Belmar High School and a brief stint with the St. Louis Cardinals Minor League System. After baseball, he played Men’s Softball for Naomi Athletic Club, Chillys Bev in Mon City and the Monessen Ravens, having played in numerous world tournaments. Tim coached both boys and girls sports his entire adult life starting with Fayette City Bulldogs Football, Fayette City Legion Pony and Colt Baseball, Washington Township Queens. He also coached Elizabeth Forward 8U, 10U, 14U and 18U, Belle Vernon Area Middle School, and finally, Belle Vernon High School Softball. His real enjoyment was the opportunity to coach both his daughters for their entire softball careers. 

Tim was a member of the Naomi Athletic Club for many years and served as Vice President for a number of years. In 1969, he was raised as a Master Mason in the Gummert Lodge No. 252 F&AM Fayette City and received his 14th degree in Valley of Uniontown and his 32nd degree in the Valley of Pittsburgh, where he entered the Shriners. He was also a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Fayette City. 

Tim enjoyed hunting and traveling to all of the Western States, Alaska, and Alabama, also British Columbia and The Yukon Territory in Canada. He also enjoyed golfing, especially with Bucky, Doc, Rosie and Joe on their yearly trips and on Tuesday’s with Scotty, Katz, Woody and Jay and enjoyed going on cruises and all inclusive vacations. 

He loved watching his granddaughters Megan and Lauren compete in softball, volleyball, dance, cheerleading, gymnastics and soccer. 

He will be sadly missed by the “love of his life” his wife of 59 years, Carol (Glogosh) Ferrari; daughters, Heather (George) Milkent of Rostraver and Ashley (Jonathan) Fowler of Rostraver; and granddaughters, Megan Milkent and Lauren Fowler.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan White officiating. Interment will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Fayette City.

Tri-County Lodge No. 252 F&AM will conduct a Masonic Funeral Service for Brother Ferrari on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
