Timothy Shawn Frieze, 63, of Rostraver Township passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his home following a long illness. Born in New Castle, Delaware on December 2, 1959, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Margaret Evelyn (Jenkins) Frieze.
Tim also known as "Iceman" or "Frieze Pop" grew up in Leedom Estates in New Castle Delaware. He attended William Penn High School and during his life held various jobs with one being a host on a radio podcast "All Things Kiss". He was a longtime member of Minquadale Fire Company and the Teamsters Local No. 326.
Tim was known for his avid passion for the legendary rock band Kiss as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He is survived by his two children, Timothy Shawn (Diane) Frieze II and Rachel Ellen (Pedro) Alicea; four grandchildren, Bradley, Andres, Sophia, and Giselle; his former wife and mother of his children, Ellen J. Scheib; the love of his life for many years Fiancé, Virginia Richnafsky-McCusker; two cats, Sylvester and Shadow; two sisters, E. Marie (William) Donovan and Lee (Larry) Shoop; brother, Terence (Donna) Frieze; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Michael J (Joanne) Frieze.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the Minquadale Fire Hall, 129 E Hazeldell Avenue, New Castle, DE 19720.
