Valoren Neth

August 31, 1931 — October 15, 2015

Valoren Lee "Bud" Neth was born on August 31, 1931 in Coal Center. He was the son of Elliot and Olive (Crispen) Neth.
He lived his you in Granville and attended school at East Pike School District in California, PA. Valoren was a supervisor at a coal mine, cement plant and strip mining operation. He had his pilot's license and was trained to operate heavy equipment. In 1962, he started driving tractor trailer over the road. He drove for chemical, agricultural and commercial businesses. He later moved to Sioux City, IA and then to Sheldon, IA. In the last 10 years of his employment, he was and independent operator with Van Wyk Trucking in Sheldon, retiring in 1993. In his early years, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a farm boy at heart and enjoyed gardening. In 2003, he designed at log cabin, where he lived with his horses and german shepherd, Babe. Valoren was a strong-willed man with a big heart and strong character, in which his handshake was his bond. He passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar, IA.
Left to cherifsh his memories are his children, Ron W. Neth of Sheldon, IA, Valerie Reese of Naussau, Bahamas and Mark Neth of Allentown; 4 grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Porter of Belle Vernon; close friends and acquaintences he had on his highway through life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Neth; and brother Lester Neth.
There will be no public visitation or memorial service.
