Viola M. Davis

Viola M. Davis, 85, of Monongahela died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at her home. Born in New Eagle on February 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Elsie (Hines) Wise.
A homemaker, Viola was a member of the Lover Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Lewis (Jessie) Davis Jr., John (Emma) Davis and Robin (Laurie) Davis; grandchildren, Heather (Craig) Dongilli, Melanie (Matt Sleith) Davis, Lewis (Brianna) Davis III and Jessie (Mandie) Davis; great grandchildren, Emily, Craig and ShyAnn Dongilli, Evan and Easton Sleith; and Meadow and Lewis Davis IV; sister, Linda Huss; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lewis A. "Shoes" Davis; brothers, William, Charles and John Wise; and sisters; Shirley Mitchell, Judy Huss, Marlene Baldwin and Donna West.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul King officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
