Wanda F. DiVirgilio, 86, of Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in Dunlevy Gardens Personal Care Home. Born in Perryopolis on March 2, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Laverna A. (Dongilli) Painter.
Wanda was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, where she sang in the Choir and was active in the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She was an avid seamstress, enjoyed playing the organ and mandolin, and was a wonderful cook and baker, specializing in desserts.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John A. DiVirgilio; daughters, Linda (George) Patterson and Sharon (Guy) Fleming, all of Rostraver Twp.; granddaughters, Megan (Scott) Guiler of Monessen, Rebekah Patterson of Rostraver Twp. and Valerie Fleming of Dawson; brother, Dennis D. Painter of Greensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Henderson.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Seven Dolors Catholic Church, 102 Center Street, Yukon, PA with Msgr. James Gaston as celebrant. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
