William Alva Fell

William Alva Fell, 92, of Rostraver Twp., died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in Mt. Vernon Assisted Living. Born in Webster on June 18, 1924, he was the son of the late Francis A. and Nellie (Boyd) Fell.
William was retired from the U S Post Office and also worked for L T V Steel. He operated a Confectionery store in Fellsburg and a Bait Shop in Belle Vernon for many years. He was a member of Fells United Methodist Church in Rostraver Twp., and was a member and Past Master of Tipton-Henderson Lodge No. 760 F&AM Pittsburgh, Tri-County Lodge No. 252 F&AM Donora, the Donora American Legion and SOAR (the retired Steelworkers Union). William liked fishing and socializing with his friends. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma C. (Van Kirk) Fell; sons, William A. Fell Jr. of Punta Gorda, FL and David E. (Brenda) Fell of South Weber, UT; daughter, Kathleen D. Fell (Harley) Sickles of Monessen; grandchildren, David W. (Cindy) Fell, Heather Sickles Lusk, James M. Fell and Brian J. Fell; great grandchildren, Nicole Fell, Nathan Fell, Kylie Lusk, Colton Lusk and Chloe Lusk; brother, James E. (Madge) Fell of Tallahassee, FL and sister, Dolores Fell Neth of Rostraver Twp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas F. Fell and sister, Doris Jane Fell.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bruce Merritt officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in Fells Cemetery.
The Tri-County Lodge No. 252 F&AM will conduct a Masonic Funeral Service for Brother Fell on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
