William Lloyd Byers, 83, of Rostraver Township died Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Born in Rostraver Township on October 18, 1937, he was the son of the late John A. and Dorothy F. (Curnow) Byers.
Lloyd was a heavy equipment operator for Local No. 66 Operating Engineers. He attended Journey By Grace Church in Rostraver and the former Webster Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Son's of the American Revolution. Lloyd loved traveling with his family, his Farmall Tractors and Western History. He honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife; Ellen (Richter) Byers; sons, David (Tamara Lynn) Byers of Streetsboro, OH and James Robert (Cecelia) Byers; grandsons, Matthew Thomas Byers and Michael William Byers; and brother, John Leslie Byers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry J. Byers.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11a.m. with Pastor William Bailey officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in Mill Grove Cemetery
Everyone attending the visitation and services must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
